Thanks for visiting our page!

Kirkby Gospel Hall is the home to a company of Christians who gather together to remember the Lord Jesus, study the Bible and tell others about God, the Bible and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

We try and base everything we do on the authority of the Bible, believing that the essence of the Christian faith is quite simply explained therein.

We have been meeting together from the local area since 1928 in the current building on Portland Street, Kirkby-in-Ashfield.

About
Monthly musings - a message for you!

Skydiving

It was whilst on a visit to Harby in Leicestershire that we saw people skydiving at Langar airfield. It must take considerable nerve to jump out of the plane and plummet to earth at speed, before pulling the cord to release a parachute and glide down to a landing site. Not only does it take nerve, but it also takes skill. You have to decide when to pull the cord and then you have to use the canopy to select the spot where you wish to land, avoiding potential dangers on the ground. For some, the adrenalin rush is the thing!

How important, though, to make the right decisions as you plummet down at high speed. Get it wrong and you could be hurt. Get it very wrong and you could be killed. It is not a sport for the faint-hearted!
