What is normal?

Back to school or university, or back in the office? Are we finally back to normality?

There’s been nothing normal about this year but as we enter September there are some areas of our lives that will finally start to feel familiar. We often take comfort in the normal and cling onto things we can control and that are familiar, but in reality we have no control, as we have seen this year.

Stepping outside of our comfort zone isn’t easy and creates anxieties we don’t like to feel. Some advice from the bible is, not to worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of it’s own. We can't control what happens tomorrow, or further in the future but we can have control over who we put our trust in for now.

If we seek the Lord, He will answer and deliver us from all our fears (Psalm 34v4). Putting your trust in the Lord means wholeheartedly relying on him and not on your own abilities. If you believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, to forgive you of your sins (the wrong things we do and have done), and confess them to Him, He will save you, and you can put your trust in Him for the future and have peace forever.
