Preciousness

‘How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! How great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand’.[1]

Do you know who is thinking about and observing you every day and every moment? God is![2]

He created mankind and wants to live in the heart of, and enjoy fellowship with, every human being that exists. He knows what He can do to fill your life with love and peace – but only if you ask Him to do so. He knows He can bring freedom into your life, freedom from sin, guilt, and fear – but only if you ask Him to do so.

In short, He knows you and sees you completely – inside and out.

Men, women, and children come from every walk of life, and in all shapes and sizes, but one characteristic that we all have is that we are made in God’s image. The Bible states, ‘So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them’.[3] In creating humankind, it was God’s desire to enjoy fellowship with His creature. However, man’s disobedience brought in sin and blighted that which God had created and that which He desired.[4]

Yet, remarkably, though God both knows and understands us, He loves us. The Bible tells us that ‘God commendeth his love towards us . . . while we were yet sinners’.[5] How? The same verse tells us, ‘Christ died for us’. God has made the way for us to come into a relationship with Him, through the death of His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ did not come into the world just to live a good life, or to be an example to others. He came to die, and the act of His crucifixion and resurrection brought about a way of salvation for all who would accept it. That way of salvation still stands today and is freely open to you. The Bible says, ‘Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved’.[6]
